July is UV Safety Awareness Month! Did you know UV rays can damage your skin in as little as 15 minutes? Long-term exposure increases your risk for sunburn, premature aging, and skin cancer. A blistering sunburn before the age of 20 dramatically increases your risk. Tips for staying safe in the sun: Apply broad-spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen daily Wear protective clothing, wide-brimmed hats, and UV-blocking sunglasses Avoid tanning beds Note that the sun is most intense from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. (seek some shade!)

Out of Office Dr. Moss will be out of the office July 20–24, 2026. If you anticipate needing medication refills, lab work, or an appointment, please contact the office before July 20. We appreciate your understanding and encourage you to plan ahead.

🌡️ Summer Heat Safety 🌡️ Florida summers can quickly lead to dehydration and heat-related illness. A few reminders: Drink water consistently throughout the day—even before you feel thirsty. Add electrolytes if you're spending extended time outdoors or exercising. Wear lightweight, light-colored clothing and sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher. Schedule outdoor activities in the early morning or evening whenever possible. Know the warning signs of heat exhaustion: dizziness, headache, nausea, excessive sweating, and fatigue. If symptoms develop, move to a cool place, hydrate, and seek medical attention if symptoms worsen. Check on vulnerable friends and family members

Looking Ahead to August As summer winds down: Schedule your annual wellness visit before the busy fall season. Begin planning for back-to-school physicals and sports physicals.
