As we celebrate the birth of the United States this July, we also take time to reflect on what freedom truly means. We believe that moving toward peace, equity, and justice for all people in this country is part of our shared patriotic duty.

☀️ July is UV Safety Awareness Month
Did you know UV rays can damage your skin in as little as 15 minutes? Long-term exposure increases your risk for sunburn, premature aging, and skin cancer.
☀️Tips for staying safe in the sun:

Apply broad-spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen daily

Wear protective clothing, wide-brimmed hats, and UV-blocking sunglasses

Avoid tanning beds

Seek shade between 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
🎇 Fireworks Safety
Even “safe” fireworks like sparklers burn at 1,200°F—hot enough to cause serious burns.
Tips to stay safe:

Always supervise children

Light fireworks one at a time and back away

Keep water or a fire extinguisher nearby

Never relight malfunctioning fireworks
