Happy October! Fall in Florida may not mean colorful leaves, but it still brings plenty of opportunities to enjoy time with family and friends. This month, we’re focusing on breast cancer awareness, new services coming soon to our practice, and a few important health reminders.

πŸŽƒ Healthy Fall Recipes:


🍎Pumpkin Patch Apple Slices


Ingredients:

Apple wedges 🍎

Peanut or almond butter πŸ₯œ

Granola + mini dark chocolate chips 🍫


Directions:

Spread nut butter on apple wedges, sprinkle granola

Top with a chocolate chip.

πŸŽƒA sweet & crunchy treat without the sugar crash!



πŸ‘» Banana Ghost Pops (Nut-Free, Dairy-Free, Gluten-Free)

Ingredients:

2 ripe bananas

Dairy-free white chocolate chips (or yogurt chips, if tolerated)

Mini dairy-free dark chocolate chips (for eyes/mouth)

Popsicle sticks

Directions:

Peel bananas and cut in half. Insert a popsicle stick into each half.

Melt dairy-free white chocolate chips

Dip banana halves to coat, then place on parchment paper.

Add two mini dark chocolate chips for eyes and one for the mouth.

Freeze for 1–2 hours until firm.

πŸŽƒ Result: A spooky, sweet treat that’s creamy, fun to decorate, and allergy-friendly


🍁 Cinnamon Roasted Pumpkin Seeds

Ingredients:

1 cup raw pumpkin seeds (rinsed & dried)

1 tbsp olive oil or melted coconut oil

1 tbsp maple syrup or honey

1 tsp ground cinnamon

Pinch of sea salt

Directions:

Preheat oven to 325°F.

Toss pumpkin seeds with oil, maple syrup, cinnamon, and salt.

Spread evenly on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

Roast for 20–25 minutes, stirring halfway through, until golden and fragrant.

Cool before serving (they’ll crisp up as they cool).


πŸŽƒThese are crunchy, lightly sweet, and full of fiber, zinc, and magnesium—perfect for a healthier fall snack.
